Rebecca's Note: These are the nicest toys I have ever seen for little ones. They last forever and still look brand
new. These clutching toys are stained not painted so they are safe for little ones to chew on. All of these toys are
made in Germany. I promise you won't be disappointed!
Quality & Safety
For over 70 years we at HABA have learned what you, as discerning parents, expect. A toy should benefit your children through
play and also stimulate their awareness. Ant it goes without saying that toys should conform to all applicable safety standards. A
HABA toy will not only fulfil but exceed your expectations.
That’s our goal:
We want to support children as they make their way through their world using play. Our goal is to make their lives happier and
more exciting. This is an aim that we can only achieve through particularly high demands for quality and safety. But requirements
alone aren’t enough – we also have to put them into action.
Our toys correspond to all European and US recommended standards and requirements for toy safety in terms of material and
manufacture.
When we want to bring colors into play we only use solvent-free, water-based stains. This means that toys are totally safe to pass
from hand-to-mouth.
We place great demands on the quality and safety of our products, particularly on the careful selection and processing of the
materials. That is why we constantly monitor the materials we use. Our toys comply with European Standard EN 71 ’Toy Safety’.
And whenever necessary our products are checked by authorized, independent institutes to ensure their safety.
Quality
Anyone can talk about quality. Our corporate family can prove our compliance to the highest standards of quality: HABA, JAKO-O
and Wehrfritz were all granted the DIN EN ISO 9001 certificate. This certificate attests that we have successfully introduced and
use a quality control system for both our products and our processes, so that we can guarantee their consistent quality. The
system includes processes within the company, such as those in development, production and assembly, and of course applies
to the products we manufacture and market.
Safety
Toys
Toys by HABA meet, in part, several European directives. This mainly depends on the materials from which our products are
made and on the target group for which the products are designed. The most important directive for us is the “Toy Safety
Directive”. In directives, benchmarks and parameters are specified which must then be implemented in European standards,
regulations and national laws.
Haba Toys
Toys come and go like flowers in the summer. Only wooden toys
last. Day after day, year after year. Because wood is natural and
long lasting and it has character and is pleasant to touch. The
beautiful HABA designs make wood into the most extraordinary toys.
Wood is a renewable resource, a material that protects our natural
resources. We primarily process beech wood from local forestry.
Our beech wood suppliers are PEFC certified, a certification system
for sustainable forestry.
